DOHA: IBQ announced the opening of its second Ras Laffan BRanch, BRinging the number of BRanches it operates across the country to 12, including two Al Yusr Islamic banking BRanches.
IBQ is continuing with its sustained expansion plans and has been enlarging its network of BRanches and customer touch points strategically across the country.
This is the second BRanch for IBQ in Ras Laffan, which already operates a BRanch in the pearl Village (GTL complex of Shell).
The new BRanch will offer the full range of banking products to the whole of Ras Laffan community, which currently runs to over 89,000 residents, and increases to around 115,000 people during working hours.
"We aim to build strong partnerships and long lasting relationships with all our customers and we have made customer experience a focal point for all our activities," said George Nasra, Managing Director of IBQ.
"Easy access to our services is essential and we are proud to open our second BRanch in one of the most important business communities in Qatar," he said.
Last year, IBQ had the second highest growth rate in earnings among Qatari banks with a customer base that has risen around 300 percent since end of 2007.
It was also named "fastest moving bank in the Middle East" in June last year by Banker UK and was recent winner of the Best Customer Service Award for the third consecutive year by The Banker Middle East.
The new BRanch is located in the Ras Laffan Commercial Complex which is the entry point to the Ras Laffan City. Visitors to the BRanch and customers residing in this vicinity will be able to benefit from the services from 10am to 6pm except on Fridays and Saturdays.
The BRanch will offer a full range of banking solutions for retail customers including current and savings accounts, loans, credit cards in addition to elite banking offerings. The BRanch will also operate an ATM machine with both cash deposit and withdrawal facilities.
