15 September 2008 The Turkish International Co-operation and Development Agency (TICDA) and the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDBG) Islamic Development Bank Group (IDBG) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote economic and social development of their mutual countries. The MoU was signed by TICDA president Musa Kulaklikaya and IDBG IDBG president Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali at bank headquarters in Jeddah. The partnership between the two parties will render their respective activities more effective and beneficial to the countries of mutual interest.  "We appreciate all your efforts in what you are doing in our member countries," said Dr.Ali. "We look forward to having closer co-operation. We would be happy to be your active partner." The memo specifies the areas of co-operation to include capacity building, agriculture, environmental planning and management, and health. According to the signed agreement, TICDA and IDB IDB will co-operate in the promotion of the above areas in member countries of both parties. TICDA was established 16 years ago and has co-ordination offices in 20 countries.
